Port Weller East Side Service

Starting Monday, June 21, 2021, Port Weller East TransCab customers will begin transitioning to the new St. Catharines Transit On-Demand service. On-Demand will pick you up in the current TransCab zone and drop you off at a bus stop in the drop off zone. The drop off zone is programmed in the App, but includes most bus stops north of the QEW. All TransCab rides can be booked up to 24-hours in advance, by downloading the St. Catharines On Demand app or through the website.

The TransCab zone is the area of the City of St. Catharines on the east side of the Welland Canal.

A small St. Catharines Transit bus will pick you up. If you are transferring into the fixed route transit network, please be sure to ask for a transfer. Regular transit fares apply. All buses are accessible.

On-Demand coverage will increase as COVID-19 bus capacity restrictions are lifted.

Travelling to Port Weller East Side

Book your ride to Port Weller East through the St. Catharines Transit On Demand app or website. Be sure to note the bus stop that you will be picked up at. Arrive at the bus stop for the pick up time and wait for your bus to arrive. Pay your fare when you board the bus.

Travelling from Port Weller East Side

Book your pick up through the St. Catharines Transit On Demand App. Be ready for the pick up window.

The bus will drop you off at the bus stop you select closest to your destination or transfer point.
